Job Responsibilities:

  • Be versatile on the installation & commissioning of EMCAR generator solutions
  • Be versatile on the installation & commissioning of EMCAR power, electrical & solar solutions
  • Give appropriate after sales support & service to customers for generator solutions and power products sold by the company
  • Install and commission generators and associated control systems, and power products.
  • Conduct regular maintenance activities on generators to ensure their optimal performance. This includes inspecting, cleaning, and replacing components such as filters, belts, pumps, and lubricants. Perform preventive maintenance tasks based on manufacturer recommendations and industry standards. Fill in accurately job forms conducted on outdoor works.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues in generators. Use various tools and testing equipment to identify the root causes of problems, analyse faulty components. Prepare the list of spare parts required for quotation of repairs.
  • Repairs and replacements: Perform (indoor and outdoor) repairs and servicing of generators, power products, power electronic boards and water pumps and any other related products/parts, as per company established standards and procedures, in a timely manner.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all work meets quality standards and regulatory requirements. Conduct inspections and quality checks to verify the accuracy and effectiveness of repairs and maintenance activities.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all maintenance, repair, and testing activities performed on generators. Document equipment specifications, parts used, and work performed. Create reports and provide recommendations for improving generator performance and reliability.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and standards while working on generators. Identify potential hazards and implement appropriate safety measures. Ensure that you and your team always comply with all Occupational Health & Safety measures and statutory rules and regulations.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other technicians and team members to address complex issues or large-scale projects. Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
  • Report to Sales Engineer or any other person designated by Management on a regular basis concerning work in progress and any technical issues therein, and for all jobs that needs follow-up (i.e. spare parts required, returns, quotations, clients follow-up).
  • Be responsible of own tools and equipment provided by the company.
  • Maintain working area, equipment, tools and uniforms tidy and clean at all times.
  • Report defective equipment and machinery, and all accidents and incidents to Management.
  • Establish and maintain good relationship with Supplier.
  • Perform any other tasks related to the above duties.

 

Qualification & Experience:

  • NC3 Electrical Installation or Diploma in relevant field or any other relevant qualification will also be considered
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Good communication skills both English and French 
  • Ready to work odd hours whenever required and to meet tight deadlines
