Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Generate sales (direct and indirect) in order to achieve maximum profitability against annual sales target.
  • Plan and supervise work of subordinates, delegate effectively and coach employees towards the attainment of organisational goals and objectives.
  • Plan and monitor repairs and support (indoor and outdoor) in a timely manner, effectively and efficiently.
  • Maximize income generating opportunities through the range of existing activities as well as effectively identifying new sources of income.
  • Identify customer needs and issues and use the relevant technology and tools for customer service related processes in order to maintain high quality service and excellence within the company.
  • Assist the Spare Parts team in ordering of products, receiving of products, monitoring of stock movement, regular inventory control and interim quality checks.
  • Establish and maintain good and professional relationship with customers, suppliers and other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate good communication and interaction skills while dealing and collaborating with departmental employees and other departments as well.
  • Perform appraisal exercise of subordinates as and when required.
  • Establish training, development and motivation programmes for the employees in close collaboration with the Human Resources department with a view to increase employee motivation and commitment and to maximise performance at all levels.
  • Demonstrate the appropriate leadership style to motivate and empower employees through periods of organisational growth or change.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and servicing of machinery and equipment (indoor and outdoor) as per standard procedures and Occupational Health & Safety requirements.
  • Ensure that Marine department complies with all Occupational Health & Safety measures and statutory rules and regulations.
  • Prepare accounting records and management reports as and when required.
  • Ensure any matter pertaining to invoicing and debtors are tackled within a proper time frame.
  • Plan and prepare annual budget and monitor monthly progress, in collaboration with the Business Unit Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal provisions governing the business unit.
  • Participate in any Learning & Development opportunities offered by the company.
  • Perform all duties strictly in line with the company’s policies and procedures and on the designated systems.
  • Perform any cognate duties as may be assigned by Management.

 

Qualification & Experience:

 

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering (specialisation in boat engine) or any other relevant qualification will also be considered.
  • At least 3 - 5 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Excellent communication skills both English and French
  • Pleasant and outgoing personality
  • Good IT skills - Microsoft Office and SAP
  • Good analytical skills and well versed in reports / presentation
  • Ready to work odd hours whenever required and to meet tight deadlines
